Each LoftbOX unit features a modular construction, with a hard top and bottom made from lightweight MDF. These rigid components provide structure and can be inserted or removed as needed, making the boxes easy to transport, assemble, or repair. The top panel contains four integrated eyelets, securely fastened into the wooden frame. These eyelets align with small openings in the sail fabric cover, allowing the ropes to pass cleanly through and support the box’s weight.

The suspension system uses authentic sailing rope and pulleys—originally developed for windsurf gear—ensuring both durability and a direct material link to the project’s narrative. The rope threads through two ceiling-mounted pulleys and leads down to a wall-mounted hook, enabling smooth, manual movement of the storage unit.

All ceiling attachments are carefully evaluated in consultation with a structural or architectural specialist. Each installation is adapted to the specific ceiling material—whether concrete, wood, or hollow panels—to ensure safety, proper load-bearing, and long-term functionality.
